Expert Witness

Surveyors acting as expert witnesses are governed by the Civil Procedure Rules and their primary duty is to help the court or tribunal to whom they are giving evidence. They must be independent.

We have given evidence before the courts in matters involving professional negligence and matrimonial property disputes and disputes between contractors and their clients.

We have given evidence before the Leasehold Valuation Tribunal in matters involving service charge disputes, leasehold enfranchisement and lease extensions.

Prior to Court proceedings, there may be a meeting of Experts in order to narrow down issues and try and reach agreement. If agreement is not reached, it may be necessary for the Expert Witness to give evidence in Court.
